This week has passed
This edition has passed: it covered October 13 through 19, 2026. The newest verified weekly list is live: What's Happening This Week: Ponte Vedra & Nocatee, Oct 20-26.Here's the thing: this is the week the calendar finally does the work for you. The verified list for October 13 through 19, 2026 pulls from both sides of the line, St. Johns and Duval, because the honest truth is that your week here can start at a Tuesday market in Palm Valley and end Saturday with the Blue Angels overhead and country music under the oaks. Every event below is real, checked against the organizer or an official listing, and within about a 25-mile drive of Ponte Vedra Beach.
Palm Valley Farmers Market
Tuesday, October 13, 10 AM to 1 PM at the Palm Valley Community Center, 148 Canal Blvd in Ponte Vedra Beach: local produce, raw milk, pastured chicken and eggs, and sourdough, the smallest and friendliest market on this list. It runs every Tuesday year-round, and it is the easiest hour of shopping you will do all week. Market details
Ponte Vedra Friday Farmers Market
Friday, October 16, 10 AM to 2 PM at Palm Valley Outdoors, 377 S. Roscoe Blvd in Ponte Vedra Beach: produce, local honey, baked goods, and artisans set up on the Intracoastal lawn every Friday. Mid-October is when the pumpkins and mums finally show up, so the lawn looks like fall arrived on schedule. Market details
Haunted House Preview Night
Friday, October 16, 7 to 9 PM at Spray Waterpark, 400 Nocatee Center Way in Ponte Vedra: the preview night for the waterpark's Halloween haunted house, for Nocatee residents and their guests and recommended for ages 12 and up. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door, subject to availability.
Beaches Oktoberfest
Friday, October 16, 5 to 10 PM, and Saturday, October 17, noon to 10 PM at Seawalk Pavilion and Latham Plaza, 75 1st St N in Jacksonville Beach: the 11th annual German-style celebration on the ocean, with 40-plus breweries, brats, pretzels, and live music from Sister Hazel, The Hip Abduction, and Coyote Island. General admission starts around $19, and it is the best people-watching of the month, fifteen minutes from Ponte Vedra. Organizer event page
Nocatee Farmers Market
Saturday, October 17, 10 AM to 1 PM at Nocatee Station Field, 400 Nocatee Center Way in Ponte Vedra: the third-Saturday market with 70-plus vendors, live music, and themed family activities. October's edition is the Halloween Harvest market, with fall crafts and seasonal offerings alongside the usual produce and baked goods. Admission is free, confirmed by Florida's Historic Coast, and it is open to everyone, not just Nocatee residents, so bring the whole family. It is an outdoor event, so weather can shift the plan: confirm on the official listing before you head out. Nocatee / Florida's Historic Coast
NAS Jax Air Show
Saturday and Sunday, October 17 and 18, at Naval Air Station Jacksonville, 6801 Roosevelt Blvd in Jacksonville: the Blue Angels close the show at the birthplace of the Blue Angels, with aircraft displays and a Kids Zone. Admission and parking are free, and it is about 25 miles from Ponte Vedra Beach, the longest drive on this list and the one worth making. Air show details
Alabama at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre
Saturday, October 17, 7:30 PM at 1340C A1A South in St. Augustine: country royalty under the oaks, twenty minutes south on A1A. If your parents raised you on Mountain Music, this is the show to take them to. Tickets on The Amp's official site
Molly Hatchet at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall
Saturday, October 17, 8 PM, doors at 6:30, at 1050 A1A N in Ponte Vedra Beach: Southern rock in your own backyard, with Red Magnolia opening. Tickets run about $34 to $63, and it is the easiest night out on this list because it does not require leaving Ponte Vedra Beach. Concert Hall event page
Mollie says
Let's be honest: Saturday, October 17 is the head-to-head of the month. The Nocatee market runs the morning, the Blue Angels fly in the afternoon, and then you have to pick your Saturday night: Alabama under the oaks in St. Augustine, Molly Hatchet five minutes from home, or the Smashing Pumpkins at VyStar in Jacksonville. I would do the market in the morning, the air show in the afternoon, and Alabama at night, then sleep in Sunday. That is the difference between visiting northeast Florida and living here.
Everything on this list was checked against organizer or official listings the week of October 13, 2026, and events can still move or sell out, so confirm before you drive. A few more worth knowing: the Indigo Girls play the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall tonight, Tuesday, October 13 at 7 PM; the Jumbo Shrimp host a Fall Festival at VyStar Ballpark on Friday from 6 to 9 PM with $1 admission; the Beaches Green Market runs Saturday at Penman Park in Jacksonville Beach, 10 AM to 2 PM; and the Jacksonville Zoo's Spooktacular runs Friday through Sunday evenings. Looking ahead, CAKE plays The Amp on Wednesday, October 21, and Turnpike Troubadours follow on Saturday, October 24. Last week's edition, covering October 6 through 12, has passed and stays archived here. Know something I missed? Tell me, and it goes in next week's list.
