What's Happening This Week: Ponte Vedra & Nocatee, Sept 24-27

The verified weekly list for Sept 24-27, 2026: two farmers markets, the Nocatee hoedown, a GTM beach cleanup and a moonlight hike, free songwriter sets, Flipturn at The Amp, and the Jaguars at home.

This week has passed

This edition has passed: it covered September 24 through 27, 2026. The newest verified weekly list is live: What's Happening This Week: Ponte Vedra & Nocatee, Sept 29-Oct 5.

Here's the thing: you learn more about Ponte Vedra, Nocatee, and St. Johns County in one real week here than in a month of listing photos. So every week I put together the honest list of what is actually on: markets, music, community events, and the occasional reason to drive the twenty minutes up to Jacksonville. This edition covers September 24 through 27, 2026, and it is a good one.

Ponte Vedra Friday Farmers Market

Every Friday from 10 AM to 2 PM at Palm Valley Outdoors, 377 S. Roscoe Blvd in Ponte Vedra Beach: organic produce, local honey, baked goods, and artisans set up right on the Intracoastal lawn. This week's edition is Friday, September 25. Market details

Flipturn at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre

Friday, September 25, doors at 6:30 PM, show at 8. Flipturn started in Jacksonville and now plays nights like this on the regular, with Winyah opening. Tickets on The Amp's official site.

St. Augustine Songwriters Fest

Free and four days long, Thursday September 24 through Sunday September 27, with Nashville songwriters playing intimate sets across downtown St. Augustine, including Colonial Oak Music Park on St. George Street. It is the closing stretch of the month-long Sing Out Loud Festival. Full schedule

Nocatee Country Concert Hoedown

Saturday, September 26, evening, with the Cam Wheaton Band: line dancing, yard games, and a proper hoedown. It is open to Nocatee residents and their guests, 21 and older. Tickets and the start time are on the community's page: Nocatee on Facebook

GTM Research Reserve beach cleanup

Saturday, September 26, 9:30 to 11 AM, meet at the GTM Education Center, 505 Guana River Rd in Ponte Vedra Beach. The reserve supplies the gloves and bags; you supply the hands. Registration and info

St. Augustine Amphitheatre Farmers Market

Saturday, September 26, 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM at 1340C A1A South in St. Augustine, more than a hundred vendors set up under the oaks. Market first, then the GTM cleanup up the road, is the seasoned local Saturday. Market info

Moonlight hike at GTM

Saturday, September 26, 8 to 10 PM, the same stretch of coast after dark: a self-guided moonlight walk on the GTM trail at 505 Guana River Rd. Register through the Friends of GTM calendar, and bring a red-light headlamp, the honest secret of night hiking in gator country.

Jaguars vs. Patriots at EverBank Stadium

Sunday, September 27, 1 PM kickoff on CBS. Jacksonville hosts New England in Week 3, about a twenty-minute drive up J. Turner Butler Boulevard from Ponte Vedra. One of the best days of the season to let the kids feel what gameday in Florida is like. Tickets and schedule

Mollie says

Let's be honest: if you only have one morning, make it the GTM beach cleanup, and one evening, the moonlight hike. Together they are the difference between reading about this coast and being part of it. And if you are comparing communities right now, spend a Saturday at a farmers market and a Sunday at the game. That is the life you are moving to, not a brochure.

Everything in this list was checked against the organizer or official event listings the week of September 22, 2026. Events get moved and sold out, so confirm before you drive. One more for early in the week: the Palm Valley Farmers Market runs every Tuesday, 10 AM to 1 PM, at the Community Center, 148 Canal Blvd in Ponte Vedra Beach, so next Tuesday, September 29 is your next shot. Know something I missed? Tell me and it goes in next week's list.
