What's Happening This Week: Ponte Vedra & Nocatee, Oct 6-12

The verified Oct 6-12 list: both farmers markets, Boz Scaggs, Tedeschi Trucks and Phish on Friday, GTM family seining, the St. Augustine Greek Festival, and Riverside Arts Market.

This week has passed

This edition has passed: it covered October 6 through 12, 2026. The newest verified weekly list is live: What's Happening This Week: Ponte Vedra & Nocatee, Oct 13-19.

Here's the thing: this is the week the music calendar finally earns its keep around here. The verified list for October 6 through 12, 2026 pulls from both sides of the line, St. Johns and Duval, because the honest truth is that your week here can start at a Tuesday market in Palm Valley and end Sunday under the oaks at The Amp, with a Greek festival and a river market in between. Every event below is real, checked against the organizer or an official listing, and within about a 25-mile drive of Ponte Vedra Beach.

Palm Valley Farmers Market

Tuesday, October 6, 10 AM to 1 PM at the Palm Valley Community Center, 148 Canal Blvd in Ponte Vedra Beach: local produce, raw milk, pastured chicken and eggs, and sourdough, the smallest and friendliest market on this list. It runs every Tuesday year-round, and it is the easiest hour of shopping you will do all week. Market details

Boz Scaggs at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre

Wednesday, October 7, show at 7 PM at 1340C A1A South in St. Augustine: The Rhythm Review 2026, a grown-up school-night show under the oaks, the kind you are still talking about Thursday morning. Tickets on The Amp's official site

Ponte Vedra Friday Farmers Market

Friday, October 9, 10 AM to 2 PM at Palm Valley Outdoors, 377 S. Roscoe Blvd in Ponte Vedra Beach: produce, local honey, baked goods, and artisans set up on the Intracoastal lawn every Friday. October is when pumpkin and mums season shows up, and the lawn is worth the trip even if you only walk away with coffee. Market details

Tedeschi Trucks Band at The Amp

Friday and Saturday, October 9 and 10, 7 PM both nights at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre: the Future Soul 2026 Tour, two hometown-area shows from a band that started right here in Jacksonville. One night is a treat; two nights is a weekend. Tickets on The Amp's official site

Phish at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena

Friday, October 9, 7 PM at 300 A. Philip Randolph Blvd in Jacksonville: a full-arena Phish night about twenty minutes up J. Turner Butler Boulevard from Ponte Vedra. Parking fills early, so leave a buffer and treat the drive like part of the plan. Arena event page

GTM family seining

Saturday, October 10, 9 to 11 AM at Guana Lake, GTM Research Reserve, 505 Guana River Rd in Ponte Vedra Beach: the second-Saturday Family Seining program, a guided net-seining session where the kids find out what actually lives in the water. Registration is required, parking is $3 per vehicle, and it sells out, so book ahead. Reserve events calendar

St. Augustine Greek Festival

Saturday and Sunday, October 10 and 11, 11 AM to 8 PM Saturday and 11 AM to 5 PM Sunday, at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 2940 County Road 214 in St. Augustine: the 28th annual festival with Greek food, pastries, music, dancing, and the Agora marketplace. Admission is free, and the pastries sell out, so go hungry and early. Festival details

Riverside Arts Market

Saturday, October 10, 10 AM to 3 PM under the Fuller Warren Bridge at 715 Riverside Ave in Jacksonville: more than 100 artists and makers, the farmers stalls, river views, and food trucks, rain or shine. Twenty minutes up the highway and it feels like a different city, in the best way. Market details

Mollie says

Let's be honest: Friday night is the head-to-head of the year around here, Tedeschi Trucks under the oaks in St. Augustine and Phish at VyStar, both at 7, an hour apart. You have to pick. I would take Tedeschi Trucks, then use Saturday to reset: seining at GTM with the kids in the morning, the Greek Festival or Riverside Arts Market in the afternoon. That is the difference between visiting northeast Florida and living here.

Everything on this list was checked against organizer or official listings the week of October 6, 2026, and events can still move or sell out, so confirm before you drive. A few more worth knowing: the St. Augustine Amphitheatre Farmers Market runs Saturday, October 10, 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM on the same A1A South grounds as the concerts, and the Avett Brothers close the venue's run on Sunday, October 11 at 6:30 PM. Closer to home, All Them Witches plays the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall on Sunday night, and Sporting JAX hosts Birmingham Legion FC at UNF's Hodges Stadium on Saturday at 5 PM if soccer is your family's thing. Nocatee, straight talk: the community calendar had no confirmed public events posted for this week when I checked, so the count stays at zero rather than me guessing. The Nocatee Farmers Market is third Saturday, so the next one is October 17 at Nocatee Station Field, 400 Nocatee Center Way. And if you were planning a Jaguars Sunday, they are in London this weekend, so EverBank is quiet. Last week's edition, covering September 29 through October 5, has passed and stays archived here. Know something I missed? Tell me, and it goes in next week's list.
