St. Johns County public schools · zoned for 32081 & 32082

The public schools your exact address unlocks.

ZIP 32081 and 32082 sit on two different public school realities. The Nocatee side runs on K-8 academies, Valley Ridge, Palm Valley, Pine Island, and the new Sabal Crest, all feeding Allen D. Nease High School. The coastal side centers on Ponte Vedra Palm Valley-Rawlings Elementary, Ocean Palms Elementary, Alice B. Landrum Middle, and Ponte Vedra High. But here is the honest part: the ZIP code alone does not decide your school. Your street address does, and attendance zones shift as the district opens schools.

The 32081 side: Nocatee's K-8 academies and Nease

Valley Ridge Academy

K-8 academy · 32081

The original Nocatee academy, opened in 2014. Serves sections across the western and central villages and feeds Allen D. Nease High School.

Palm Valley Academy

K-8 academy · 32081

Opened in 2018 on the east side of the development, serving sections closer to the Palm Valley side. Also feeds Nease.

Pine Island Academy

K-8 academy · 32081

Opened in 2021 at 805 Pine Island Road. Serves the southern and newer sections as the district rebalanced zones, and feeds Nease.

Sabal Crest Academy

New K-8 academy · 32081

Opening for the 2026-2027 school year near Seabrook. First-year students in kindergarten through 7th grade, with the first 8th graders attending Pine Island Academy until the school adds that grade.

Allen D. Nease High School

9-12 high school · 32081

At 10550 Ray Road. The high school for the St. Johns County side of Nocatee, and the destination for all four Nocatee K-8 academies.

One honest caveat about the K-8 model: children stay at one campus from kindergarten through 8th grade, which families love for the single drop-off routine and the continuity. The trade-off is that the academy a home feeds into shifts as the district opens schools and rebalances zones, exactly what Sabal Crest is doing right now. The assignment on a listing is never the final word.

The 32082 side: oaks, Landrum, and Ponte Vedra High

Ponte Vedra Palm Valley-Rawlings Elementary (PVPV/Rawlings)

Elementary · 32082

At 610 A1A North. The elementary for the established coastal neighborhoods, from Old Ponte Vedra through the gated communities.

Ocean Palms Elementary

Elementary · 32082

At 355 Landrum Lane. Serves the northern coastal sections and parts of the beach side, with boundaries that have shifted as the district reinvented its zones.

Alice B. Landrum Middle School

Middle school · 32082

At 230 Landrum Lane. The middle school for most of the 32082 coastal side, feeding Ponte Vedra High School.

Ponte Vedra High School

9-12 high school · 32082

At 460 Davis Park Road. The high school for the beach side and the Palm Valley corridor, known across the region for athletics and academics. Here is the part that confuses people: even though the campus physically sits off Davis Park Road near Nocatee, Nocatee students do not attend by address. Ponte Vedra High serves the coast-side kids of Ponte Vedra Beach, the 32082 side: the only way a Nocatee student attends is by being accepted into one of its academies, because standard attendance is address-driven and does not draw from Nocatee.

The 32082 side is the opposite physical story from Nocatee: established campuses under mature oaks, older buildings, and a coastal population that shows up at the same schools for generations. It is also easier to misread, because parts of 32082 rezone into different schools than the ones your neighbor's children attend two streets over. When the district opens a new campus, coastal-side boundaries have moved too, so the address locator is the only map that counts.

What daily life is like

In Nocatee, the daily reality is short drives: most homes sit minutes from their assigned academy, and the village road network keeps school traffic mostly inside the community. The K-8 model means one drop-off and one pickup routine for a decade, and the Greenway trails double as bike and golf cart routes for older kids. After school, the calendar fills with the local sports leagues and the amenity centers.

On the beach side, expect a different rhythm: older campuses, oak-lined streets, and a few more miles of driving for some sections, especially if the home sits inland of the coastal strip. Traffic through and around A1A at school hours is part of the trade-off, and so is the beach itself, which is why so many afternoons end at the water rather than at a pool deck.

One thing I always tell relocating families: try the real drive at the real time, and ask current parents how drop-off flows in year one. Smooth on paper, backed up in practice is the difference between a good school assignment and a good morning.

The honest fine print: zones change, so verify

Attendance zones are drawn by street and address, not by community marketing. Two homes a mile apart can feed different schools, and boundaries are rebalanced as new campuses open and enrollments grow. That is why the district publishes a locator instead of a static map, and why nobody, not even a listing agent, should promise you a placement.

Start with the district's official Attendance Zone Locator, enter the exact address, and read the school year you are targeting. Then check the current enrollment process, which the district also publishes. And know the county-line quirk: part of Nocatee, including sections of 32081, crosses into Duval County and zones to Bartram Springs Elementary, Twin Lakes Middle, and Atlantic Coast High instead. The Nocatee name does not decide that, the county line does. I cover that side in the schools hub.

Let's verify the schools for the exact address.

Before you fall for a house, I will pull the current assignment for the address, check for pending boundary changes, and walk the real morning drive. No promises we cannot back up, just the truth about what your kids would actually attend.
